Forrest Galante is synonymous with the natural world, outdoor survival and wildlife expertise. He grew up in Harare, Zimbabwe, which instilled a love and deep connection with the natural world that seemed to map out his future. Galante's deep involvement with nature continued when he moved back to California after political unrest in Zimbabwe forced his family from their farm and safari operations.

Over the course of his life, Forrest Galante has caught crocodiles, swam with great white sharks, photographed venomous reptiles, outsmarted a startled hippo, dodged an angry panther and had countless other adventures. He started out his career in high-risk wildlife biology fieldwork, with a focus on animals on the edge of extinction. His hands-on approach with wildlife, passion for the outdoors and one-of-a-kind background has led to the development of his own Animal Planet television show, 'Extinct or Alive.' The show shadows Forrest on expedition as he searchers the globe searching for species he believes have inaccurately been deemed extinct.
