Forrest Galante is known for his experience with the natural world, outdoor survival and animal expertise. He grew up in Harare, Zimbabwe, which instilled a life-long love of the natural world that seemed to map out his future. Galante's deep love with nature grew when he moved back to California after political unrest in Zimbabwe forced his family from their safari outfitters.
Through the course of his journeys, Forrest Galante has caught anacondas, swam with great white sharks, photographed venomous reptiles, outsmarted a charging water buffalo, dodged a cyclone and had countless other adventures. His career began in high-risk wildlife biology fieldwork, always focusing on animals staring down extinction. His approach to wildlife, passion for nature and extraordinary background eventually led to the development of his own Animal Planet television show, 'Extinct or Alive.' The show shadows Galante on expedition as he searchers the world searching for animals believed to be extinct.
